Brands trust us with their research questions, and participants trust us with their voices. This page explains how we look after both.
Protecting data
- Wyza runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Errors and system health are monitored, so problems are caught and fixed quickly.
Who can see what
- Every client works in its own workspace. Database rules stop one workspace from reading another's studies or responses.
- Clients choose who joins their workspace. Shared reports can be limited to named viewers or protected with a code.
- Wyza staff use separate internal tools, protected by two-factor sign-in, and only access a study when the work needs it.
Genuine responses
- Participants verify their phone number before taking part.
- Every response is checked for duplicates, bots and rushed answers, using device, network and answer signals.
- Voice and video answers are checked to confirm a real person answered the question.
- In-person interviews by field agents are location-checked.
- Responses that fail are held or excluded before they reach a report, and clients can exclude any response themselves.
AI and your data
Wyza uses AI models for interviewing, transcription, translation and analysis. We use them through business services whose terms do not allow your data to be used to train their models. Every number in a Wyza report links back to the responses behind it, so findings can be checked.
Retention and deletion
Clients own their study data and can exclude or delete responses at any time. On request, or when a client leaves, we delete or return their data. Participants can delete their Wyza account at any time. We never sell data.
Data protection law
We work to the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012 and, where it applies, the EU and UK GDPR. Participants give informed consent before every study. Our Data Processing terms list our sub-processors, and we sign Data Processing Agreements on request.
